The Prineville area has a rich western heritage. Rustlers Inn highlights local history with its Old West hospitality and motif. Prineville is home to the reknowned Crooked River Roundup, where local and professional cowboys thrill the enthusiastic crowds during the power-packed weekend. The rodeo is surrounded with activities that draw our traditions and history to the forefront for all to enjoy. The weekend includes a “fully loaded” Roundup parade, a Buckaroo Breakfast and an antique show in the park.

In conjunction, the Rockhound Pow-Wow takes place at the fairgrounds. The second week following the Rodeo is a full slate of Parimutuel horse racing. No sooner does the racing end than the County Fair begins, including a carnival and other fun events.

Prineville and the Central Oregon community is surrounded by high desert and national forest. The area is filled with large and smaller ranches. You can take an afternoon excursion to see first hand the older, traditional cattle operations and the more contemporary ranches. If you want something different, visit one of the many llama ranches in Central Oregon. Take time to explore the high desert and the national forest. To tour scenic Central Oregon and take in the western culture is a refreshing change – especially if you’re from a more metropolitan area.

Please take advantage of this website to discover the recreational opportunities, local events and diverse amenities of our area. These include area restaurants, Meadow Lakes Golf Course, the Crooked River Dinner Train , the Painted Hills, state parks, Smith Rocks and Stiens Pillar.

We guarantee you will thoroughly enjoy a stay at our Rustlers Inn and all our community has to offer. We hope to see you soon!
